MiND2MODE kicked of their summer tour with a stunning performance at the Kieler Woche Festival in Kiel, Germany. Going head to head with Level 42 on the other stage, M2M managed to pack the plaza despite the periodic rainfall.
Due to the scheduling and a midnight curfew, the show was half an hour shorter than normal, though M2M still managed to pack in a storming set.

At the end of the show there was then the logistical nightmare of getting from Germany back to the UK for Saturday nights gig in the UK.
With very little sleep and before an intimate audience, the band - now as Sample Minds blasted through a thunderous set. The sound was probably the best they've had at the venue and of particular note was Jacky's bass sound.
Not only totally authentic to the vintage Minds, he also played with such brutal venom - none more so evident than on 'Love Song' and 'Stay Visible'.
The set was:

This gig also marked the landmark of the first time the band have performed tracks from Simple Minds stunning new album, Graffiti Soul before an audience. Both tracks were awesome and well received.
Performing 39 note perfect songs back to back in 2 different countries is a remarkable feat by anyone's standards and the band are really proud of that achievement. As always, video footage was captured across the weekend for future release - and there are some classic cameo moments! Also of note is that the band rehearsed some new songs from Depeche Mode over the weekend including, 'Stripped', 'Higher Love', 'Policy of Truth', 'In Your Room', 'World in My Eyes' and 'Wrong'. Expect them in the set soon.
The next stop is Hamm, Germany for the NRW Tagg event 27-06-09, where M2M are headlining. (Jacky's other band, the local legends 'Return' will be supporting - so a busy night for The Waverider!).
See you there!
