From the age of 7 Martin started to play guitar ,bass and classical trumpet (though not at the same time!). Classical music proved to be a bit pedestrian, so Martin made the decision to become a rock 'n' roll guitarist - and so his musical adventure began!

Martin has performed in many bands covering all styles of music, including - Red Point (heavy metal), The Black and White Band (funk and soul), Rhythm and Blues Company (blues - rock), Flashmatics (new wave), Seven Chambers (art-rock) and Intrazz (funk - metal). Well, that seems to have all bases covered!

This pedigree stands him in good stead as Sample Minds 'man with the axe'!!!

Martin has a music studio in a converted barn which acts as Sample Minds / MIND2MODE musical Head Quarters, recording and rehearsal facility. This coupled with his incredible hospitality and beer supplies means that even if he was musically rubbish, he'd still be in the band!!! (Thankfully he's absolutely awesome!)
